Our 3 closest local villages of Alton, Denstone and Rocester, all have newsagents, Post Offices, small convenience shops and some good pubs to eat at. Denstone hosts a particularly good Farm Shop, Denstone Hall Farm Shop which is award winning and well worth a visit.

Uttoxeter is our closest town is where you will find a wide range of shops

A 24hr Tesco, Waitrose, Lidl, Aldi Iceland food store, Boots, W.H.Smith, Wilkinson’s, B&Q, Argos, B&M along with a variety of independent shops.

The town also has many places to eat including Chinese, Indian restaurants and Pizza take-aways which may deliver to our site if requested.

Just outside the town is a Cinebowl and Ice-skating complex, a KFC, McDonalds, Weatherspons, Costa, Starbucks, Burger King and a Leisure Centre.

Uttoxeter has a railway station on the Derby – Stoke line.

Cheadle is about 15 minutes away and has a good selection of shops

There is also a Morrisons and Asda supermarket. There are also several takeaways and restaurants.

Ashbourne is just 20 minutes away with lots of shops along with bars and cafés.

There is also an  M&S food, Aldi, Sainsburys, Waitrose, Homebase, Halfords, W.H.Smith, Boots, Mountain Warehouse and an M&S food store.

There are several outdoor leisure specialist shops, and many that sell very unique clothes, gifts, jewellery, crafts and antiques and a leisure centre.

Petrol stations include, Shell (inc’ LPG ), Esso, BP and Tesco are at Uttoxeter with other independant stations in Rocester, Cheadle and Ashbourne.
